Hard Facts: Race and Ethnicity in the Nine-County Greater Rochester Area examines the substantial gaps in educational and economic outcomes among persons of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. (August 2017)

State of Play: Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes is an independent assessment of access, quality, and participation in youth sports in six counties surrounding Rochester. Please send comments and feedback on the report to youthsports@racf.org. (June 2017)

Poverty and Self-Sufficiency in the Nine-County Greater Rochester Area updates data in the 2013 report (see below). Overall, it shows that poverty is rising across the region, from 13.2 percent to 14.3 percent, based on the latest available Census figures. (September 2016)

Going Mobile to Increase the Reach of Summer Meals is a feasibility study researched by the Center for Governmental Research for the Summer Meals Partnership of Rochester. The goal of the study was to find out how mobile food delivery was incorporated into the distribution of summer meals in other cities. (April 2016)

Out of School Time Opportunities in Rochester is an inventory commissioned by the Greater After-School Alliance and researched by The Children's Agenda. It found that nearly 70 percent of Rochester youth don't have access to out-of-school-time enrichment programs. (December 2015)

Benchmarking Rochester's Poverty: A 2015 Update and Deeper Analysis of Poverty in the City of Rochester is an addendum to our 2013 poverty report below. (January 2015)

Lessons Learned from the Boomer Mentors Initiative outlines seven key takeaways from a five-year program in which Rochester agencies partnered to recruit Baby Boomers to mentor Rochester youth. (May 2014)

Poverty and the Concentration of Poverty in the 9-County Greater Rochester Region is a joint Community Foundation-ACT Rochester report that provides an overall picture of where poverty exists, where it is concentrated and why. The report is also available in Spanish. (December 2013)

Success for Rochester City Students: Making a College Education Attainable, a report commissioned by the Community Foundation, is an inventory of current in-school and out-of-school services provided to Rochester students to prepare them for college. (April 2013)

City of Rochester Summer Meals Needs Assessment, a report commissioned by the Community Foundation, looks at participation and barriers of the Summer Meals program. (January 2013)

2011-12 Grade 3 English Language Arts State Test Results for Rochester City School District Students shows that only 23 percent of Rochester's third-graders met or exceeded state standards. (August 2012)

2011 Inventory of After-School Providers for Monroe County looks at the availability and types of programs in our community. (October 2011)

Wealth in the Rochester Region: A Transfer of Wealth Opportunity, commissioned by the Community Foundation, found that the region's current net worth is more than $80 billion. This means that the nine-county region is poised to experience an unprecedented transfer of $33.5 billion between generations in the next 20 years. (June 2011)
