Evening Out with the Arts Raises $12,000 for Arts and Culture Fund

July 21, 2023

With more than 250 attendees, the June 8 event at Nazareth University’s Glazer Performing Arts Center was a resounding success, showcasing the remarkable talents of local artists and the vibrant arts community in our region.

Almost $12,000 in net proceeds were raised for the Foundation’s Arts and Culture Fund. This fund serves as a catalyst for transformative arts programs and initiatives and fosters cultural enrichment, inclusivity, and accessibility for all members of our community.

The evening would not have been possible without its artistic contributors. Guests were inspired by art exhibits from Dove Block Project and Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach, as well as performances by the following groups:

  • fivebyfive
  • Yvana Meléndez
  • Blackfriars Theatre
  • Avenue Blackbox Theatre
  • Rochester Oratorio Society
  • PUSH Physical Theatre

Several guests said their favorite part of the evening was being introduced to — and amazed by — artists they hadn’t heard of before.

The Community Foundation is also grateful to the evening’s sponsors and applauds their unwavering commitment to the arts:

  • Sutherland Global
  • ESL Federal Credit Union
  • Manning & Napier
  • The Bonadio Group
  • Dr. William Valenti

The success of the evening is a reminder of the profound impact that collective support can have on the arts community. Gifts to the permanent, endowed Arts and Culture Fund nurture an environment where artists can flourish and the arts can inspire, educate, and uplift us all.
