Donor Information

This scholarship was created in loving memory of Sidney A. Aroesty, who lived a full and impactful life built on a foundation of scholarship, integrity, and honesty. Sid graduated from East High in 1964 and served as president of his class. With a passion for the sciences and health care, Sid joined the U.S. Air Force in 1967, where he served in the Laboratory at Kinchloe AFB. He went on to become lab supervisor at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial and Highland hospitals. Sid extended his influence on the field of diagnostic medicine when he joined Diagnostic Products Corporation, headquartered in Los Angeles. His career provided the opportunity to travel to amazing places and meet incredible people, but he always attributed these opportunities to the great fortune, passionate mentors, and help he received along the way. This scholarship was developed with the intent to help other young men and women pursue the "American Dream" of their own.
