Joel Ayite Ajavon Memorial Scholarship*
For graduating high school seniors with a primary interest in studying science, technology, engineering, math, nursing, or trades at a two-year community college in Western New York.December 1 to February 28
One award of $4,000; may be split between two recipients. Award paid in one lump sum in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters. Minimum award $2,000.
Algonquin Campership Award (Individuals)
For youth attending canoe-tripping camps in Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada.
Rolling Deadline: December 1 to June 1
Award amounts vary based on camp tuition and applicant need; paid in one lump sum prior to camp trip. Average award is approximately $2,000 to 7,500.
Algonquin Campership Award (School Groups)
For organized groups of youth attending canoe-tripping camps in Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada.
Rolling Deadline: December 1 to June 1
Award amounts vary based on the group size and supply rental needs; paid in one lump sum prior to camp trip. Note: This aid cannot be used toward travel expenses. Average award ranges from $7,500 to $13,000 each.
Algonquin Campership Award (Enrichment Programs)
For youth programs that encourage being outdoors and/or benefit youth that may ultimately be interested in attending camp in Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada.
Rolling Deadline: December 1 to June 1
Award amounts vary based on the program and will begin at $1,000 USD to support programs/projects that enhance camp and outdoor experiences for youth and families.
Sharon Marie All Memorial Scholarship
For graduating Newark High School seniors who go above and beyond what is required and make a difference through community service.November 1 to April 1
One award of $4,000; paid in one-half the total award in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
Harvey E. Anderson Scholarship*
For graduating Section V high school seniors who have been diligent in academic and athletic endeavors and exhibit self-motivation and extraordinary effort.
Contact school athletic director or sports coach for nomination information. A nomination code is required to access the application. Applications are accepted between December 1 – February 28.
One award of $4,000 each to both a male and a female athlete; paid as $1,000 per year for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Additionally, one non-renewable award of $1,000 to both a male and a female runner-up. Award paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Armenian Scholarship Fund in memory of Charles J. Churukian*
For graduating high school seniors of Armenian heritage planning to pursue a career in medicine, science, or music.December 1 to February 28
One award of $4,000; paid as $1,000 per year for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Award paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Gertrude M. and Donald E. Armstrong Scholarship
For graduating Marion High School seniors planning to attend a school of higher learning specializing in business administration or finance.N/A (nominations from committee only)
One award of $10,000 each to both a male and a female student; paid as $2,500 per year for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Award paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Sidney and Carol Aroesty Family Scholarship*
For graduating East High School seniors planning to pursue a degree in any science discipline at a two- or four-year college, university, or technical school.December 1 to February 28
One award of $12,000; divided into equal annual installments paid over four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Award is paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Andrew G. Attinasi Scholar-Athlete Scholarship
For graduating senior athletes from Irondequoit High School who have participated on sanctioned teams and plan to participate in intercollegiate athletics during college.September of senior year to First Friday in April
One award of $10,000; paid as $2,500 per year for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Award paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
