For a graduating senior from Honeoye Central High School who:
- Is continuing his/her education;
- Has a cumulative grade point average of 80 percent (2.7 GPA) or higher; and
- Has determination, drive, a sense of humor, and a willingness to face adversity.
The application process is coordinated by Honeoye Central High School Counseling Office, where application instructions are also available.
The selection process is coordinated through the Honeoye Central High School. A selection committee comprised of at least three members of Honeoye Central High School faculty and staff, and which may include one member of the Gordon family, reviews applications, selects the recipient(s), and informs the Community Foundation.
Interviews may be requested. The selection will not be based on final grades; the 80 percent cumulative grade is for pre-screening purposes only. The essay and interview are weighted equally. The interview questions posed by the scholarship selection committee show the importance of personality in the selection process.
