Oaks Family Scholarship
Purpose of Scholarship
To provide assistance to graduating North Rose-Wolcott High School seniors who plan to attend college full time.

Contact school counselor beginning in November to learn more about this scholarship opportunity
Number and Size of Awards
One award of $1,000; paid in one lump sum in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Allowed Use of Award
Awards may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other expenses associated with higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
For graduating seniors from North-Rose Wolcott High School who:
- Demonstrate scholastic achievement;
- Participated in school and community-based activities; and
- Are accepted by an accredited two- or four-year college.
Financial need is a consideration.
Application Process
The application process is coordinated by North Rose-Wolcott High School, where application instructions are available if applicable.
Committee/Selection Process
The selection process is coordinated through North Rose-Wolcott High School. The school's awards committee, comprised of class advisors, faculty, and staff, reviews applications, selects the recipient and informs the Community Foundation.
Award Announcement and Payment
The Community Foundation emails a certificate to the high school for presentation to the recipient and emails an award notification with instructions for claiming the award to the recipient in the Spring. Payment is mailed to the school for the recipient’s account in one lump sum in the Fall and split between the Fall and Spring semesters once required documentation is received.
To release the scholarship payment, upload the requested and required information including your class schedule and tuition bill verifying enrollment to the Community Foundation’s online Scholarship Acceptance and Renewal Form between July 1 and August 15.
Scholarships not claimed by February 15 in the assigned year will be forfeited. Email scholarships@racf.org with any questions or concerns.
Renewability
This scholarship is a one-time award and is not renewable.

This scholarship was established in 2015 to recognize the Oaks Family's 175 years of involvement in the North Rose area and their contributions to the community over six generations.
