Maxine Tillotson Memorial Scholarship
Purpose of Scholarship
Scholarship assistance to a student attending the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester.

Number and Size of Awards
One award of $4,000; paid as $1,000 per year for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Award paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Allowed Use of Award
Awards may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other expenses associated with higher education.
For a graduating senior from a Monroe County high school who:
- Has matriculated or plans to matriculate in music study (instrument or voice), and
- Applies for financial aid at the Eastman School of Music.
Preference is given to graduating seniors from the Webster Central School District.
The application process is coordinated by the Eastman School of Music Financial Aid Office, where application instructions are available if applicable.
The selection process is coordinated through the Eastman School of Music's Financial Aid Office which reviews applications, selects the recipient, and informs the Community Foundation.
Award Announcement and Payment
The Community Foundation emails an award notification with instructions for claiming the award to the recipient in the Fall. Payment is mailed to the school for the recipient's account.
This scholarship is renewable up to three times for a total of four awards in four consecutive years. Please see the Award Announcement and Payment section above for more information.
Students from other Monroe County high schools may be considered when there are no eligible recipients from the Webster Central School.
This scholarship was established in 1984 as an estate bequest of Miss Maxine Tillotson, who was the music teacher for many years at the Bay Road Elementary School in Webster, New York.
