Purpose of Scholarship
To provide a scholarship to students at the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music who are pursuing a doctoral degree in classical piano.
Application Period
Contact the Eastman School of Music beginning in November to learn more about this scholarship opportunity
Number and Size of Awards
Three awards of up to $4,000 each; paid in one lump sum.
Allowed Use of Award
Awards may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses at the Eastman School of Music.
Eligibility Criteria
For a doctoral candidate in classical piano at the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music who is in need of financial assistance.
Application Process
The application process is coordinated by the Eastman School of Music Financial Aid Office, where application instructions are available.
Committee/Selection Process
The selection process is coordinated through the Eastman School of Music. The chair of the Piano Department reviews applications, selects the recipient(s), and informs the Community Foundation.
Award Announcement and Payment
The Community Foundation mails a letter to the recipient(s). Payment is mailed to the school for the recipient's account in the Fall.
Renewability
This scholarship is not renewable; however, some students may be considered for a subsequent award.
Donor Information
This scholarship was established by the estate of Dorothea Landow Ingram in memory of her father.
