Esther Frost was a Syracuse University graduate and librarian. Her husband Harry worked for Grove Labs as a salesman. The couple lived in Clyde for many years, and although they had no children of their own, Mrs. Frost knew the importance of education and wanted to provide an opportunity for students attending Clyde-Savannah High School.
