Donor Information

Erin's family and friends have created this scholarship in her memory and to recognize her determination to lead a normal life despite the challenges of cystic fibrosis. This scholarship gives students the opportunity to enrich their lives through education, by helping to alleviate some of the financial burdens of attending college. Erin was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at an early age, and despite the hardships, she was determined not to let it control her life. Erin graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1998. She was an honor student, traveled, skied, worked full time, was involved with community and school programs, and loved her dogs. Erin graduated from Ithaca College in 2003 from the Park School of Communications and began graduate studies at Rochester Institute of Technology. In October 2005, she was awaiting a second lung transplant, but a suitable donor was not found in time. Her family and friends miss Erin dearly and this scholarship is a tribute to her and all she had to endure.
