An Evening Out At Home

An Evening Out At Home is Rochester Area Community Foundation’s premier annual event. It was created in 1981 as a way to bring together members of the greater Rochester community for an elegant evening and, at the same time, raise awareness and support for the Foundation and its mission.

How It Works

Every year, guests dine in small groups at the homes of Foundation supporters, starting at 6 p.m., and then gather at a special venue to mingle with party-goers from the other dinner parties. The dessert reception features locally made desserts and drinks and includes dancing. Past reception sites have included Rundel Memorial Library, Three Heads Brewing, the renovated Sibley Building, ARTISANworks’ French Quarter, George Eastman Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, Village Gate, City Hall, and many other special locations.┬áPast events have drawn 300 to 400 people.

Our May 30 Event Has Been Canceled

Out of concern for the safety of our hosts and guests during the coronavirus pandemic, An Evening Out At Home 2020 has been canceled. We are grateful to event chairs Diane Chevron and Richard Sarkis for their leadership and to our outstanding volunteer committee members who had worked on plans for the festivities and recruited host homes, sponsors, and dessert providers.
