An Evening Out At Home
The Community Foundation's premier annual event, An Evening Out At Home, was created in 1981 as a way to bring together members of the greater Rochester community for an elegant evening and, at the same time, raise awareness and support for the Foundation and its mission.
How It Works
Every year, guests dine in small groups at the homes of Foundation supporters, starting at 6 p.m., and then gather at a special venue to mingle with party-goers from the other dinner parties. The dessert reception features locally made desserts and drinks and includes dancing. Past reception sites have included the renovated Sibley Building, George Eastman Museum, Village Gate, the Memorial Art Gallery, City Hall, and many other special locations. Past events have drawn 300 to 400 people.

A Look Back at the 2017 Gala
On May 20, 2017, our evening started with delicious meals and lively conversations in the homes of gracious supporters and friends. Then we gathered for dessert, drinks, and dancing to the music of Shine at Three Heads Brewing in the Neighborhood of the Arts.
Many thanks to Event Co-Chairs Emily Neece and Alan Ziegler and their dedicated committee of volunteers for planning this wonderful event.
Check out photos from the evening here.
We also want to thank the sponsors, dinner hosts and dessert and beverage providers for making this event so special.
