Many of our donors have established funds in other interest areas. The sixteen funds listed below support other such interest areas:

Ames-Amzalak Fund
Recognizes innovation by nonprofit organizations while memorializing three young immigrants who built a successful clothing business.

Arthur Chatman Memorial Fund
For programs in labor management or children's services, in memory of an attorney who specialized in labor law.

Donald and Elizabeth Cohn Fund
This fund remembers the Cohn family by supporting antipoverty programs in Rochester.

Henry E. and Emily L. Gillette Fund
Created through the will of Emily Gillette, wife of a former Rochester mayor, this fund supports parks, libraries, ballparks, and other public spaces.

Gonsenhauser Family Fund
For agricultural education, particularly about dairy farming, in memory of a Brighton farmer.

Lester Harrison Family Fund
This noted Rochester sports figure provided in his will for a fund to support inner-city athletic programs.

Housing Education Fund
For housing programs in the city of Rochester.

India Fund of Rochester
Founded by local Asian Indians to promote understanding about India.

L. Ruth Kohler Fund
Established through the residuary estate of a retired teacher, this fund supports fitness opportunities for young people.

Nonprofit Advisory Services Endowment Fund
To strengthen the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations.

Playground Fund
Established by a family that understood the need for play, this fund supports recreational facilities.

Plumb-Miller Fund
To benefit youth and preserve the dignity of the elderly.

Joe U. Posner Children's Sports and Recreation Fund
To foster wholesome athletic and recreational activities for disadvantaged youth in honor of an important community benefactor.

Sayre Family Incentive Fund
Established by a family that believes in the importance of endowment, this fund encourages nonprofit organizations to create endowments within Rochester Area Community Foundation.

Elmer Schwittek Free Enterprise Fund
Established by a donor who cared deeply about promoting understanding of free enterprise.

Fund for Self Esteem
Created after the sale of a local business, this funds supports projects that increase self-worth.
