Early Childhood

For more than 20 years, the Community Foundation has invested in high-quality early education opportunities for young children. With proven results, we're staying the course and continuing to make sure that our region's children get the best start possible.  Below is a list including an urgent initiative and five funds at the Community Foundation that support Early Childhood:

Edna Jeanne Brush Fund
Created by a family that strongly believes in the importance of early childhood education.

Early Childhood Education Fund
Encourages developmental learning that prepares children to succeed in school. A major donation to the fund honors William Lattimore.

Anne Heneghan Fund for Infant Care
Family, friends, and colleagues dedicated this fund in memory of a woman who devoted her life to nurturing children in their first year of life.

Hugh Knapp Fund for Early Childhood Education
Created in honor of a former board member by his daughter to benefit his favorite cause, early childhood education.

Rochester's Child Endowment Fund
To advance early childhood development and education.
