The arts are integral to the overall well-being of our region; they not only create a better quality of life, but also a healthier economy. Below is a list of nine funds at the Community Foundation that support the arts:

Claire Brewster Castle Fund II
Through his will, John W. Castle, Jr. created this fund to support music education programs in Monroe County.

Community Arts Fund
For small and emerging arts organizations.

Fund for the Fine and Performing Arts
Established by the Community Foundation to promote the growth and development of arts organizations.

Gouvernet Arts Fund
To support arts in our region, especially the performing arts.

Ruth and Manville Harris Fund
Established through a charitable remainder trust, this fund supports community arts programs.

Anne McQuay Arts and Cultural Fund II
A bequest from the unofficial "Mayor of Gibbs Street" benefits Rochester's music, dance, and cultural institutions.

Dennis Monroe Music Through the Ages Fund
Supports activities in the spirit of the musical creativity and work of Dennis Monroe.

Thomas and Mildred Tulloch Fund
A Rochester City School District elementary teacher created this fund by bequest to benefit children and the arts.

Esther Usdane Memorial Fund
For community theater in memory of a woman who loved it.
